L'Arche Lethbridge will open a third home in 2012.

On August 31, 2011, L’Arche Lethbridge purchased St. Monica’s Convent from the Sisters of St. Martha. The purchase and renovation of this large building will facilitate the creation of three self contained, interconnected homes.

This will allow us to provide long-term, accessible, affordable, and relationally rewarding homes for more people with and without developmental disabilities in Lethbridge. We are excited about this new opportunity for the expansion of the mission of L’Arche in Lethbridge!  People will begin sharing life together in these new homes in the fall of 2012.

The estimated cost of this project (purchase and renovation) is 1.3 million dollars.  L’Arche Lethbridge has committed $800,000 to the project. We need your financial support in order to raise the remaining $500,000 to complete this project.

Accessibility upgrades for daily living = $100,000
Electrical and heating upgrade = $90,000
Garage and driveway = $40,000
Basement suite = $40,000
